#ZeneBiH (#WomenOfBiH) is a book about 50+ remarkable Bosnian women who shattered stereotypes and advocated women’s rights and emancipation.
This is my 100% volunteer project, my sleepless nights, passion and frustration, pride and joy.
It celebrates those who decided to pursue education when women were not allowed to do so, promoted women’s rights at a time when they did not even exist, fought against fascism... Those who were (or are) one of the greatest treasures of my homeland (or at least, that is what I truly believe).
A book like this didn’t exist before. We did the whole research, digging, fact-checking, writing, interviewing, organisation, campaign, crowdfunding, publishing, distribution, promotion, shipping… Everything you can (not) imagine. And it was worth it.
Illustrated by 50 talented female Bosnian illustrators, designers & artists. Crowdfunded by 561 people from 25 countries. It was the most successful crowdfunding campaign in BiH ever, with 513% funds gathered.
